About Us
Elmvale Jungle Zoo - Established in 1967
Originally situated on just 2 acres, the zoo began with a small collection of animals, primary reptiles. In 1972, it was purchased by the Persi family, who have expanded the zoo to over 30 acres. Today, guests can explore winding, shaded trails and an up-close experience with animals around the world.
As part of our conservation efforts, 25 acres of the property been left untouched to preserve natural habitats for local wildlife.
Zoos play an important role in the protection and conservation of wildlife. By working with other zoos, participating in breeding programs, education and research, which all help protect endangered species.
